Agile Project Management (AgilePM®) is designed for people working in a project-oriented environment and wanting to ensure their efficiency. Based on the proven foundations of the oldest agile methodology, DSDM Atern, which describes step-by-step operations on an agile project. The Agile Project Management™ Foundation and Practitioner show how to lay a solid foundation for the success of Agile projects, present the philosophy, principles, process, roles and techniques used in Agile projects, juxtapose the differences in traditional and Agile management styles as well as explain how to combine AgilePM® with PRINCE2® methodology.

Agile Project Management™ Foundation

Agile Project Management™ Foundation – as part of the certification process, users learn the basic elements of which the AgilePM® method consists of, among others, philosophy, supporting principles, roles and responsibilities, products, processes and techniques. Participants will learn how to run projects characterized by high variability and at the same time strong time and cost constraints. The training is addressed to all those planning or already working in agile teams: from very experienced Project Managers to those starting their professional careers.

Exam format:

  • Like test
  • The time of the exam is 40 minutes
  • 50 questions in the test set
  • To get a pass, 25 points are required – 50%
  • The science fair is not allowed

Agile Project Management™ Practitioner

Agile Project Management™ Practitioner – qualifications at the level of Practitioner give confidence, motivation and ensure in-depth knowledge not only of the principles themselves, but also of how to use and implement them in the daily life of a project manager. On the way to certification, participants combine elements learned at the Foundation level: philosophy, practices, principles, process, roles and responsibilities, and prepare the basis for the implementation of a project scenario prepared especially for this purpose.

Exam format:

  • A prerequisite for taking the exam is to have one of the following certificates: AgilePM Foundation or DSDM Atern Foundation Certificate or DSDM Advanced Practitioner Certificate.
  • The examination covers all areas of the Agile Project Management Practitioner syllabus provided by an accredited AgilePM® Practitioner training course
  • The examination consists of a total of 80 questions
  • The time of the exam is 150 minutes
  • An examination requires at least 40 correct answers (50%) to pass.
  • Can use the Agile Project Management™ Handbook v2
Mirosław Dąbrowski, for his part, has created sets of thought maps completely non-profit. He did a good job, appreciating his many years of work, I would like to recommend these maps to you as excellent training material, but also to prepare for AgilePM exams.
PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)®
Certificate from the Project Management Institute stables. It requires extensive knowledge of Agile practices, tools and techniques because PMI has set itself the goal of certifying Agile practices. This is one of the most difficult exams to pass in the offered Agile certification.
We have quite extensive requirements for taking the exam here:

  1. General project management experience – 2000 hours(12 months) worked in project teams in the last 5 years (passed and current PMP® or PgMP® will meet the requirement)
  2. Experience in managing agile projects – working 1500 hours (8 months) in agile project teams or with agile methodologies in the last 3 years. These hours are additional to those required in general project management experience.
  3. Training hours – 21 training hours spent on agile methodologies, including training such as e.g. Professional Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Master, etc.

The experience gained covering these 3 points is described in the registration form. It should be borne in mind that the projects described could not/were not run in parallel. If we have such a case then we can describe the experience only from one selected project. The form filled out in this way goes to PMI, but it may or may not be audited or the possibility to proceed to payment is confirmed. Detailed information about the exam can be found directly on the PMI -> PMI-ACP Handbook.

Exam format:

  • Multiple choice test
  • The time of the exam is 3 hours
  • 120 questions, of which 20 are non-scoring questions, placed randomly in the exam
  • The 50% test checks the knowledge of Agile tools and techniques and 50% checks the knowledge and skills of Agile in the other 50%.
  • The three-stage grading scale: Proficient, Moderate Proficient, Below Proficient
The certificate, granted for 3 years, needs to be renewed by collecting Agile-related PDUs. It is required to collect 30 points during these 3 years to remain valid.
